More about the backward inclined blades
The flat shape of the blades facilitates cleaning of the impeller and also its protection by wear plates.
The wear takes place in a well-defined zone (blade trailing edge against the back disc). This makes it possible for the impeller to be protected efficiently by wear plates and/or hard metal coating.
The blade’s inclination to the rear provides for good efficiency and low noise levels.
